When the US Army Air Force arrived in the UK they re-acquired several B-17Es built for the RAF, still in their RAF camouflage. "Yankee Doodle" of the 414th Sqn, 97th Bomb Group is one of these, and took part in the first USAAF 8th Air Force daylight bombing mission in August 1942. Limited edition of only 2,800 pieces, now very hard to find. Perfect if you don't have room for the 1/72 scale version. Bargain price! |
